  Sep 17  Open MPI 1.3.3 is the default OpenMPI on vayu. Application built
          with 1.2.8 will continue to work but MPI users are strongly 
          encouraged to rebuild and test their application against this 
          version.
          Recommendation: use mpirun -mca mpi_paffinity_alone 1 ... for jobs
          of 8 cpus or more.
         
  Sep 19  The default module version for the Intel compilers is now 11.1.046 
          and for Intel MKL is now 10.1.3.027

  Sep 19  vayu currently has very little jobfs.  Expect greater throughput if
          requesting less than 800MB per cpu.
