Scientific Computing and Modelling and the NCI National Facility are pleased to announce a half-day satellite workshop to introduce the new release of ADF: the universal density functional package for chemists. ADF2008 comes with several enhancements in ADF (for molecules), BAND (surface chemistry) and their new product COSMO-RS for chemical engineering thermodynamics.
The workshop will cover:
- Introductory overview
- Presentation on the new functionality
- Demo of the new GUI features
- Hands-on exercises for new and existing users
- Q&A session
Time and Place
The workshop will take place on Saturday September 13, 2008 (to coincide with
WATOC2008) in the the first floor
teaching lab of the School of Physics at the University of Sydney
(
Building 13J on campus map). It is anticipated to run from 1:00-5:00pm with
a short tea-break in the middle.
